This summer saw the publication of my third novel. It is called 'The Scent of Wild Garlic' and is available from Amazon in ebook and now in paperback form. The story concerns a family, split apart when Conan's mother is disinherited by her parents, for falling in love with a married man. They flee to colonial Africa. The main action occurs when she dies and the wider family is reunited for a funeral in her native country. But the smell of wild garlic stirs up vivid memories of a childhood holiday there, which cannot be ignored. This is a story about Love, longing and belonging. Here are a few things that my earliest readers have been saying about it.

"The writing is rich, the characters feel real, and the emotional stakes are high. I couldn’t stop thinking about it even after I finished."

"The Scent of Wild Garlic is a beautifully written story full of quiet moments and emotional depth. The setting feels alive, and the characters stay with you. A lovely read for those who enjoy thoughtful, heartfelt fiction."

"The Scent of Wild Garlic is a touching story about growth, love and family. The setting and character's backgrounds are unique and involving. I urge other readers to explore this heartfelt tale.

I have previously written two novels:

'Because You Were There ' tells the story of Tina , a member of the Windrush Generation who came to Britain from Jamaica as a child . Her life is seen through the eyes of her teacher Felicity, who witnesses the injustices Tina is subject to from the very beginning. My story is about Love, Loyalty, and Interracial Understanding and Friendship.

'Ruby Tuesdays' is a jazz café with a very special difference. Come along to meet Sam and Ella who are determined to help teenagers navigate the difficulties of growing up in modern Britain, where unhappiness and mental ill health among the young is burgeoning. My story is about the healing power of Love, Music and Art.
